Peter Jaksa Ph.D.

Peter Jaksa, Ph.D. is an author living in Chicago, Illinois. He is a lifetime student of ancient history, including 1st century history of Galilee and Judea in the time of Jesus, and European history during the era of the Roman Empire. Due to personal and family connections, he is an avid student of the history and culture of ancient Dacia, which became modern day Romania.

In his professional career as a health care provider, he is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD. In his career as a writer, he is the author of numerous articles and columns about ADHD, including articles published in ADDitude Magazine, Attention Magazine, Organize Magazine, Men's Health Magazine, and FOCUS.

He has provided interviews to national publications and news organizations, including the Wall Street Journal, CNN, U.S. News & World Report, Chicago Tribune, and Men’s Health Magazine. He has presented at national conferences to healthcare professionals, educators, and the general public. From 1999 to 2001 he served as President of the Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA). Currently, Dr. Jaksa serves on the Scientific Advisors Board for ADDitude Magazine.
